Anyone familiar with Lobelia Erinus, Lucia Dark Blue ?

I recently bought one potted plant to place on my terrace. I repotted her the day I got her, which seemed to go just fine. But when I had a closer look at her during the eve of the following day, she looked rather distressed. The petals were all curled up and the flowers appeared to be closing, as if they were to wither or something. I really had no idea what was up with that, as I had given her good soil and made sure to carefully water her. The weather has been exeptional, too, so I couldn't understand what was going on.

This noon she appeared to be doing better, as the flowers appeared to be restored. I was relieved to find that she was doing okay, and gave her a sprinkle of water to accommodate for the hot sun. But later in the afternoon, her flowers had once again begun to curl up and close, even though she was still getting some late afternoon sun.

Can someone tell me what is up with this strange behaviour ? I really can't tell if she is doing okay, even though she appears to be vibrant.

I finally figured that she disliked a plastic bag that I had put underneath the earth to cover the pot's drain hole. I guess it wasn't exactly a very wise thing to put it there in the first place either. The poor thing must have been very intolerant to the plastic, so I'm very glad I was able to figure it out ! Her flowers are perfectly fine now, radiating a beautiful and vibrant deep blue of love.

It's beautiful -the love you are giving to this Lobelia plant, fire. Blessings to you.

She is a living thing, and you are treating her with love.

Lobelia, in my experience, prefers a filtered sun.

A rule of thumb is the darker the color of a plants leaves/flower , the more it reqiuires filtered sun to shade
