A little lesson about pendulums
 

I learned something new that I want to share with you.

I got a new book, Pendulum Magic for Beginners by Richard Webster, a few days ago. It goes beyond using a pendulum for yes/no responses. There are also exercises in it to try. I tried one exercise designed to develop a skill for finding lost objects which is a weak area for me. The pendulum is supposed to be consistent with its swings for yes/no but after a bit, my pendulum started changing the directions of the swings so I ended that exercise.

Part of my path involves spirit keeping and it took me awhile to figure out my spirits thought I was playing a game so they played with the pendulum which messed up its responses. That is why the swings kept changing directions.

So this morning, I channeled a guide and his message was about consecrating pendulums before using them. If it's done, the consecration protects pendulums from being interfered with by unwanted entities. Pendulums are magical tools and such a thought never crossed my mind. I plan on consecrating one of my pendulums soon as I have time.

That's the basic idea and feel free to leave your comments and/or ask questions.

It depends on your system of beliefs.

Per mine, the pendulum is a form of direct communication with the subconscious, bypassing the outer-conscious.

The more you practice contacting your subconscious, the more accurate the messages you send to and receive from it.

The pendulum, is a little more time consuming method. Others use for the same purpose finger twitching, dowsing, ...

All these methods are more effective if you firstly get into an appropriate trance.

I contact my subconscious directly by getting into a light trance, that I can acquire in a few seconds.

Every tool and technique is just a permission slip to allow yourself to allow your own greater allowed realisation of all that you truely are being and becoming evermore naturally and effortlessly and joyfully here and now.

So if you love your pendulum, than in that moment, you cannot love your pendulum, without loving all of creation. And thus you come to know it once again, from your own unique point of view. That is all the ways that existance has of coming to know itself from all the different points of view that you are being and becoming evermore here and now.

But it doesn't require a pendulum, and it can be anything and nothing at the same time, because the reason that you love is not discernable by your physical senses, but your emotional senses can discern it fully. And thus you can come to evermore effortless and natural and joyful greater allowed realisation of all that you truely are being and becoming evermore naturally and effortlessly and joyfully here and now.

One of the greatest dowsers and pendulum users was Tom Lethbridge. (Google). The late Colin Wilson described him as being an exceptional discoverer.

I, too, clean my pendulum to make sure that it is clean.

From my experience, depending on what/who I wanna channel from through dowsing and what I want to achieve, pendulums with certain properties are chosen for the tasks. When I do energy clearing work and have to channel my High Selves, I have to use a pendulum that is totally energy-free. I usually use one made of Swarovski crystal because it gives the right weight but doesn't store energy like natural crystals do. But one may find it easier to use pendulums made of wood or metal, and put energy in them and connect to them, or like you consecrate them, when they do their tasks. I have attempted to dowse something from energy sources before, and it seems that a metal pendulum filled with my energy is more suitable for that task compared to an energy-free Swarovski.

You can say a short prayer that no external entities disturn the swing of the pendulum.

An update on my pendulums.

I did consecrate them. Part of the consecration included to protect it from any and all interference.

A few days later, I tested one pendulum to check if I could interfere with it. After calibration, I asked a simple question then I tried to influence it to swing in a different direction. I know you can use thought to direct how you want a pendulum to swing so I sent a thought for it to swing in a different direction. No matter how much I tried to get it to change direction, it refused and continued swinging as it first did.

So, no entity was able to interfere with it despite them trying and my thought had no effect on the pendulum.
