can the memory be erased completely

If some truamatic has happened and it is difficult to forget.can it is possible for saints to erase the memory from mind completely and he become unaware of what has happened.
Just like we did not know our previous births in this life time, can this be possible that we forget some thing of this life time completely.
memory can be wiped completely as person becomes unaware that nothing has happened

I knew a woman that complained to me that 5 minutes after she had stolen money her memory of that theft would be gone.

She had a possessing spirit that wanted other targets softened up with nicotine

I don't know about 'saints' erasing memories. But memories disappear all the time.
Ask anyone who deals with someone with dementia. So it's possible, sure.
And adults have no memories of certain abuses that happened in their childhood, all the time.
I wonder if a professional medical hypnotherapist could help?

Anyone's memories may be disappearing at any time but how would you know what's disappeared after you've forgotten it/them? ;)

I'm not aware, though, that anyone is able to wipe the physical memory of us mortals, as much as that might be highly beneficial as in the case of extreme trauma, for example.

"People who serve in the 20 and Back program get their memories deleted or suppressed."

"20 and Back" refers to careers in the Space Force.

My approach to all online material making whatever claim it makes is that it needs to be viewed with scepticism. Just because it's been posted there doesn't make it either fact or evidence.

A memory is nothing but a 'snapshot' of an event that is held by a neural network. Neural networks are held together by you yourself by constantly thinking / talking about it, and literally held together by a kind of glue. We have tons of such networks for everything in life and we can undo a network. It takes a little bit of time, but then the glue lets go and is used elsewhere so the 'old' network comes undone or changes.
A traumatic event leaves a strong imprint so will also take more time & effort to undo but can be done.
All that based on Dr Joe Dispenza's work.

Interesting thing is that at least 50% of our memories are not even correct. So we remember stuff -stick to them, convinced they're true- while they're not.

There are also techniques that can alleviate such things. The eye movement technique for one. This helps to remove the emotional load so the memory becomes less 'heavy'.
Not sure but I think on a deeper level this also alter that network of the memory.

Another thing is working through the issue yourself.

When I was 9 to 13 years old I was bullied at school. When the bullying stopped I lost all memory of it until my early 20s.

Where was the memory when it was gone? How did it come back?

Yes like Miss Hepburn stated dementia, also there is a method people use called escapism where they train themselves to day dream a lot, as a coping mechanism, this can take over and become addictive, and there is harm of them bringing their dreams into realities, it’s about finding balance, and knowing they not real here, but a good coping method used by even children and adults to cope with trauma, incl binge watching tv, and becoming immersed into the show.

But it is also said those who suffer will awaken quicker, because you have experienced suffering.
