The soul is the part of us that records all of our activities throughout our incarnations, it follows us from one body to the next and is the aspect of us that holds our various spiritual bodies. The soul does not animate the body, it is not the spark of life, of the divine within us, that is what the Hindu`s call the Atman.
The Atman leaves when we die, returning only when we reincarnate. The soul and atman do not have gender, that is a human condition. |
