Songs playing in my head with a message for me
I'm sure you all have experienced it when you keep singing or humming the same song all day long, sometimes for days. It just doesn't seem to leave you. Sometimes it's not even a song you like! :icon_eek:
Well I believe that at least sometimes these songs are meant as messages for me, similar to messages conveyed in dreams. Maybe my guides or angels are giving them to me. Here are two examples: In November 2016 I was singing and humming Suzanne by Leonard Cohen for days. I am not really a fan of his music, although I like some of it (including Suzanne). Well then I heard that he died. The song played over and over in my head on the days surrounding his death. Last year I was constantly singing the song Aquarius (Let the Sunshine in). Then I went for some routine physical checkup including blood tests. Turned out I was low on vitamin D! Since then I make it a point to catch some sun when it's nice outside, or take some vitamin D supplements, if not. Right now I have been singing Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver for days. I have not found out yet what the message for me in this song is. Anyone has had similar experiences and want to share? |
Hmmm, maybe you'll visit the country or be met by nostalgia? I have this happened to me as well!
One time I met someone online who I fell in love with based on their words, but I kept getting messages that didn't support the relationship. At the time, the song, Let’s Not Fall in Love , from kpop group BIGBANG was released. In the end, it truly wasn't love and I was over-idealizing him... I do love him however as a big brother. He gave me what I needed at the time. Another time, I also fell in love with another person in real life, but I realized i shouldn't have... This song called Stay Alive by Miro appeared. These lyrics jumped out to me the most- "It's time for me to go It's time for me to forget about it And move on with our time... I say I'm fine, when all I want is love... Maybe letting go, and saying goodbye, is the one thing I should do To stay alive... So once again, I'll walk on alone Just thought, for once, maybe I could be with somebody else Maybe love yourself, before someone else, is what it really means To be alive" |

Yes maybe something like that! I still have to feel my way into that song. Quote:
Ah yes, now I remember I had something similar happen. I too was attracted to someone online, had never met him and the song I'm not in love by 10cc kept playing in my head over and over. Needless to say, it didn't work out and we never met in rl. Great message there in your Miro song! |

Yes, give it some time and it'll hopefully come to you. Please share it when you found out the meaning, I'd love to know! Quote:

there's lots of songs about "going home", maybe the winding and rolling
nature of country travel has additional significance? does this tune have a similar feeling to it for you Tomma? Carole King ~ Been to Canaan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJmAFW4idbc |
Country roads take me home to the place where I belong...
Sounds optimistic to me |

Ah it's absolutely beautiful! I love Carole King. She's so authentic and from the heart isn't she? But "Country Roads" feels different to me, more ...mmmh ... longing, maybe. |

When you see it as a statement, yes. I always understood it more like a plea ... "please take me home ..." . Like that. Maybe I am nostalgic as was suggested earlier here. I'm not from the country where I live now, I'm an expat here. Sometimes I feel I don't belong here and miss my home country. |
Yes I have had this from time to time. Music and lyrics can be really distinctive which is why they stick in your mind, and anything really memorable which stays around for a while is a message from your guides. Look into the song meaning and lyrics, and then you’ll find out more.

My tf sends me songs I’ve listened too (I’m sure she’s listening as well)
I play them again, they not even that meaningful but I love the action of the whole thing! |
Music can definitely provide you with messages, whether it be in your mind, or in other ways. Years ago, I was invited out on a boys’ night out and was very nervous about going, fearing a kind of self-esteem test. One night though, I dreamt of the song Saturday Night by Whigfield, or more exactly the fade-out lyric “ it’s party time, oh it’s party time, oh it’s party time, “ and I took the message to be, “ don’t worry about a thing, because Saturday night is going to be party time. “ I had the song stuck in my head all that week, and even heard it on the radio. When it got round to the Saturday night in question, I went out, and had an absolutely banging night, feeling the best emotion I have felt in my life so far. Saturday night definitely was party time.

Edit: nevermind

Songs are supposedly one way messages can be sent..

And I can't even figure out what the lyrics are, I'm just stuck with the melody, so I can't even search it to hear it!! and I'm dying to :( |
