enlivening silence sets our soul free ~
vibrant in the now, joyful and carefree |
walking in silence with a friend ~
which secret thought do we defend |
a gift we could give but did not ~
reflect why heart’s frigid and taut |
may there be in us no matter ~
for mundane ego spawned chatter |
desires our heart clings to, one day will die ~
let then oh hermit, God’s presence draw nigh |
if your god is mightier than ours ~
why then does this belief inflict scars |
Just pick one: Jesus, Buddha, Ram or love.
Who will bring us tidings of God’s peace dove? |
we’re born free but now mind is strained
love and light, not in heart ingrained deluded, we blame fickle fate but opt not to be pure and chaste it is a jinx we need to break if we truly choose to awake |
the poisoned pawn should not be taken ~
yet we do, perhaps to awaken |
how will our soul’s glow grow bigger ~
if fear be our thoughts sole trigger |
