In the recesses

I cavorted into this cold
I mingle in myself a while
Without haste to move and rush

As I enter into all I hold
My heart, my feeling view
I see myself unravelling
The truth of all reviewed

Untouched, unspoken,
unhinged, undone
The golden beam
Is shone

When purity of heart
It melts
All broken seams are dealt
Knitted back
As wholeness dreams
Where everything is felt

Not as untouched
Uncharted streams
But immersion into cold
No longer held by might and mind
But the divinely
Melted hold

Rushing through
It strips away
A golden luscious dream
Where spirit warms
Cocoons the torn
And that leap no longer screams

I can’t go there
I can’t say no
I cannot let this through

Yet spirit warns
This moment is
The nested waiting brew

The makings of a battered heart
A mind still in control
With broken wings
And shattered wounds
This moment is your hold!

Your untethered wings
Seek out his name
Yet within this den alive
Is the fullness of
Your battered wounds
Where each one asks

No longer serving you

The uncharted, untouched
