It depends how your pendulum works for you. Have you cleansed it and asked if it will work with you and also which way it will spin or swing for yes and no?

When mine stays still it means I've to figure the answers out myself! So nope not in my case, but remember the pendulum is unique to each individual. Ask the same question to your pendulum and see what answer you get .. don't be surprised if it stays still though .. coz gut feelings telling me it'll be saying it's your choice, take whichever option feels right and go with it. Just my opinion of course :)

You must tell the pendulum how to indicate a Yes and No everytime you use it. [Actually, that's you subconsciously telling yourself which directions] The pendulum is only a tool which allows you to contact your own subconscious and heightens your intuition. You already know the answers but they are submerged and must be brought to the surface.

Usually when I start out for the day. The pendulum swings to the right in a positive type swing. Today it swong dead center.

If my pendulum doesn't want to answer, it is still with no movement at all.

I have 'programmed' it, so my pendulum has certain swings for certain answers, therefore no matter when or where I pick up my pendulum (or any other for that matter) the answer swings are ALWAYS the same.

Yes it sometimes swings dead center. When I start I usually check my energy to see whether it is positive or negative. If the pendulum swings right it is suppose to be positive, if it swings left it is suppose to be negative. Sometimes it just starts out dead center.

I've also realised how fast my pedulum works. If I'm thinking of a question. Sometimes the pendulum will start answering me as soon as I pull it out of my pendulum bag. So I'm learning to have a blank mind before I even get started.

Well I read a article on pendulums. It said that when your pendulum swings to the right it's showing your energy to be positive. When the pendulum swings to the left your in a negative mode.

For a while I was quite depressed. So I think my energy and physical psychological were out of sync. So I use the pendulum to guage how I'm thinking to how my energy are reacting towards each other.

Try it yourself you may be surprised which way it is going.

I agree however since I'm very new to this I needed a bit of something to go on to get started. Besides I read a few peices of litereature on this subject. They all basically said the same thing.

Last night I programmed my pendulum to swing forward and back if the energry was postive and to swing side to side if it was negative. Then I asked the question, and the answer was negative energy. I am wondering though, as of the time I was asking the question, I already knew the answer would be negative - because of things going on and my reactions to them. So, do you think my knowing this already, affected the swinging of the pendulum ?

Maybe I should try this in the morning, like you say that you do - so there is no outside influence ?

Which hand is your dominate hand ...your sending hand?????

Let me explain my questions....it took me a long time to figure this out...well truth is I read it someplace a long time ago. lol
Our hands are powerfull tools..full of our energy since they hold another heart chakra for us.
I am right handed..it is my dominate hand...it is my sending hand....So IF I hold my pendy with right hand I am sending my energy, into the chain/cord and down it into pendy. Thus I influence the answers.

BUT if I hold it with my left hand with the cord slightly draped over my index finger loosly ....then it is in my receiving hand...thus I do NOT send my energy into it influences it.

I get more acurate answers and reading with it. It is then the universal energies coming through it and not so much mine.
I apologize is this has already been addressed here. I have read most of the thread but admit i have missed a few of the postings here.

Many may also disagree with what I said, as it may not matter or have affected others ..I just found it worked better for me.

No apologies necessary, I don't believe this has been mentioned here yet. Interesting , I will see what happens when I use my left hand.

However, how will I know the difference ? Should I ask the same questions, but alternating hands ?

Sometimes if my pendulum is a bit slow to respond. I will lengthen the chain and somtimese my pendulum will start to answer mequite quickly. Also some times when I do this my chain will actually vibrate like it's pulsating.

Well for a little fun. Everyday I give myself a body scan with my pendulum. Today I did one and as I was scanning my crotch area. I felt a tingling sensation like electricity running through that area.

I charge my pendy with a prayer. Then I say "Show me a clear sign for yes" Now this will differ from person to person AND location!! So if you are on vacation in another country, your pendy MAY swing differently!!

I check EVERY morning for which way is yes... and which is no and which is "need more information"

We are born with 2. A protector guide and a Joy guide. The rest, teacher, doctor, gate guardian, healer guide, these can come and go and change from time to time, depending what we learning and where we are at (spiritual growth wise) in our lives. Make sense? Right now I know and work with 7 guides. One has kinda been scarce lately, it is because I have just finished my 2nd book and I'm sure he and I are both tired of writing :P

I need not a lecture from another about spirit guides, for I need not a lecture on who I already am.
Further is it for me to say what values and meanings I choose to place on my words. What values you choose to place on your own words, or my words is your own game to play.

All you have achieved with this interposed contribution is to reveal to yourself what words mean, what love means, and what feelings mean to you.

Furthermore for me to point out, was such a question of ‘how many guides do I have?’ was a purposeful display of a sense of humour for those who know me to enjoy. :smile:
No I do not have 2-200, and I would thank you for not speaking on my behalf or assuming there is a minimum or limit to this number.
I am very aware of how many companions of spirit I have, for I can name them all to you. I can also relate the name of my own spirit, where it is from and what precisely it does, and has been doing for a very long time. I wonder, can you say the same about yourself in order to speak with such certainty on my behalf?

Eventually I'll know their names but for right now I'm happy to just talk to them. Plus I want to trod carefully not to annoy the most important guide.

Now that I'm more comfortable with my pendulum. I check my chakras daily. I'm actually more in tune with my energy flow. I'm beginning to feel my energy move with the sway of the pendulum. Saturday I felt a little dizzy while checking my brain chakra
