7-11 synchroncity

For several years now, I've been experiencing this "7-11" synchronicity. At random times when I look at a watch or a clock, it's at "7:11". Just now, I dropped my digital watch that had a stopwatch running, and picked it up and stopped it. It stopped at: "7:11:88" . I came up with my own interpretation of this, but I'd be curious what ppl on this forum have to say about it. I don't think it's about the 7-11 chain of stores, I think it's something more general and maybe abstract.

The brain notices patterns and disregards what it considers to be random. THe mind is far more complex and powerful than we realize, and it can keep track of time subconsciously, and likewise subconsciously directing you to notice and look at clocks at that moment to continue the pattern recognition.

Yes I know about the reticular activating system. It's a reasonable explanation for a lot of things, but I think not all things.

so did it have to do with July 11? I get 4, 1, 7's together. Of course 4+7=11, so I notice 4's are not part of your story..:wink: .. (oh & aint that weird- the area code where I was born was 417)... and we have been flooded with 47's from media, pop culture, they obviously think there is something subliminally strong with 47's.

I see threads on this forum about whether or not something a synchronicity. I should add, when I first experienced this about 5 yrs ago, it was definitely to me a synchronicity because it was linked up with things going on in my day-to-day experience. Nowadays though, the 7-11 thing just happens at random unexpected times with no apparent connection to things (like once in the evening yesterday).

Reflect on how you have changed since 711 meant something immediately to you.
Perhaps the number has revealed itself to remind you of your past.
I believe you know exactly what is going on here.
You seek only reassurance, which is something you do not need from others.
