All these crystals have been given as gifts but I never asked what they were, any ideas?

First one.

Second.

It was originally a clearer crystal but I dropped it the other day so it must have shattered a little inside.

Third.

Excuse my very chipped nail varnish!

I will be happy to take some more photos if needed.

Thanks

Hi Sophie,

I've been trying to google for you but unsuccessfully.
I think the last one could be an amethyst of some sorts.
I have quite a few crystals too but I'm unsure as to what they are.

Thanks for spending your time looking

Thanks! Although I don't think the last one is amethyst, I have a few but it's a lighter shade of purple and very clear. I will take another photo because that one isn't very clear

I think it is an amethyst with some citrine in one part of it, if there actually is some yellow in it (as appears in the lower picture). Amethyst-citrine is called ametrine. =)

Edit. Amethyst comes in all shades, from almost clear to so dark that it's almost black.

The yellow is from the light. Ah okay, it probably is amethyst as that one is really clear but I have some darker ones like you said.

Thanks for your help :)

My pleasure! I used to sell stones and stone beads and beading supplies. It all started for the love of stones! <3

Yeah that's amethyst for sure.
The second looks like quartz with an occlusion in it.
Don't know the first.

the purple one looks to me a bit like purple flourite.

That's exactly what I was thinking. And, the second one looks like citrine to me.

I googled purple flourite and it does seem very much like the one I have, especially from this photo:

I couldn't really find many photos of green citrine. I can take another photo of it holding it near a light.

Thanks for the replies

Green? It didn't look green to me. It looked clear with gold in it. Citrine is definitely not green.

Ah okay well it's not citrine then! I uploaded some more photos.
