So I was doing Eggnog this evening for the family to share. I opened a box of six and cracked open an egg with two yokes.

What are the chances? I'd never even heard of that happening, I felt like I had won a lottery. So what could this mean? Does this mean my family and of course myself will be blessed with an abundance of riches in 2011?

What are your thoughts?
Has it ever happened to you? :D

When I lived in Harrisburg, and bought my eggs (always jumbos), I would frequently get double yolk eggs. Somebody once told me that would bring you luck. I'm not quite sure it did. But if they warded off worse things than what had been going on, then maybe I got luckier than I thought.

Yeah, that does happen, I remember it only a few times in my life...They're lucky if you believe they're lucky! It's the innocent joy moment that makes us lucky, we don't have to find it in double egg yolks!

One interpretation is that you are about to meet your Twin Flame or another significant soul companion. <3

Double yolks happen when the hen first starts laying eggs. I've also heard that it is caused when the hen is kept laying all the time without a break.

There was a big article about factory egg farms and how double yolks pointed to stress and mistreatment, as I recall McDonalds was pushing for better treatment of hens from it's suppliers. It is a natural phenomenon.
