Bacchus?

I am sorry to say but I don’t know much about astrology so I hope for some clarification here.

What does Bacchus stand for?
As I understand it’s an asteroid?
Are there any history combined with it?

There reason I ask is that a great woman told me to seek information on this subject since it had a lot to do with by birth.
