The Magician

I really like Strength. Not necessarily just for what it symbolizes, but I really like the representation in the Rider-Waite deck - it just has such a good "feeling" to it - the way the woman seems to be gently closing the mouth of the lion, as if to illustrate strength through gentleness and compassion.

This is the Initiation card in my Sacred Circle tarot [equivalent to The Star in Rider-Waite]. The S.C. tarot is based on pagan mythology and there is no Devil card. The double spiral is a model of the Cycle of Life - Death, Renewal, Rebirth.

The three Magi of the Thoth deck - once, when I first traded for the deck 13ish years ago I did not know there were 3 magi and you are supposed to pick one and keep the other 2 out, I actually pulled all three in the first three cards of a celtic cross reading for myself. For a moment I thought I was losing my mind and had to call my friend I'd traded decks with to check - and I really love the High Priestess, The Aeon, and the Universe. The artwork is gorgeous.
