What do you think happens after you die?
I see it like this:
When you pass to the Spirit World you rest and sleep, so that you can regenerate and adjust to the planes that you find yourself abiding in, and to refine your body to the atmosphere. Just as you have to adjust your body to the densness of the atmospheres of the lower planes on descension, so you must refine your body to the higher planes on ascension.
This is what is meant in the Bible by the statement that when you die you sleep until judgement day. Judgement Day is the awakening of your Spirit in the Realms of Light, and your own judging of your incarnation and the progress of your Spirit. You then decide whether you will abide in the Realms of Light for a while, to work and learn or whether you will return to the Physical Realms to work and experience and thus to learn during a physical incarnation, correcting mistakes made during previous incarnations.
What is your perception of this?
Blessings
