Taken in the Haunted Woods of Blanchland, borders of Durham and Northumberland.

This is the larger shot that I "extracted" it from

My imagination must be quite vivid...I can see a kind of scary whiteish face, slanted sideways, to the left of the picture (the green sprig is near the brow)... am not even "on" anything! ALSO, an even scarier face, same sideways angle/slant, directly above this face (no eyes); the mouth is black with a leaf in it. Both faces best seen in Norseman's original photo (i.e. not the blown-up/link one).

I clearly have too much time on my hands!!!

The woods are haunted by the spirits of monks who were slaughtered by reivers and left unburied. The first time I entered these woods, I was "chased" out. A very scary place !

Concentrate on the dark hole to the right of the Green Lady's feet. There is something ugly in there.

Can someone point out to me where the lady is? I can only see the naked waving guy in the dark patch, hee.

And interesting story, norseman! Very tragic, though. On a somewhat(?) related note, I've always wondered if spirits can go to the 'other side' on their own, without any assistance.

@querty

The first shot below is the whole picture

(http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.spiritualforums.co m%2Fvb%2Fredir.php%3Flink%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fi28 2.photobucket.com%252Falbums%252Fkk267%252Fnorsema n_photo%252F81e9fa9f.png)http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk267/norseman_photo/8a90cea6.jpg (http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/redir.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.spiritualforums.co m%2Fvb%2Fredir.php%3Flink%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fi28 2.photobucket.com%252Falbums%252Fkk267%252Fnorsema n_photo%252F8a90cea6.jpg)

and the 2nd is the Lady with her "Familiar" [fox ?]
Most people see a lady in Victorian dress wearing a bonnet.

Hi Norse,

I can clearly see the lady's face but the rest is imagination. The hole to the right of her foot, I don't see anything except what might be a twig/scorpion, hahaha, I need to be a child again :)

If you stare at a picture long enough, you are likely to start seeing things.

If you stare at clouds too (for long enough) they start to form images....or is that just if you're creative? :icon_eek:

Well, I'm not on drugs but I automatically saw the lizardy type thing behind the tree (the brown gnarly-shaped thing). Within a few more seconds I saw a lizard on the actual treetrunk.

(Should I have gone to Specsavers?)

Absolutely ! Blind as a bat ! [just joking]

Must admit, I can't see the one on the tree trunk :D

I see it, but I definitely noticed the one behind the tree first, almost as soon as I looked at the picture.

Thanks - for those who also want to see it...it's in the middle of the trunk. Its tail ends just as the prominent lower horizontal branch crosses over.
