Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around

Well said. We are trying to instill these to our children, especially the first born. We tell him that the opposite is also true, and to refrain from any actions that will hurt or upset others.

Good reminder....... thanx

When I moved to Minneapolis, I noticed how stingy folks are with compliments. (The cool Nordic-Lutheran influence) so I try to remember & compensate for that, when I can....and let folks know how I feel...

Touching, also is restrained and foreign to many here, as normal communication....
