We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented - Elie Wiesel

It is the duty of all enlightened souls to oppose cruelty and injustice.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men (and women) do nothing"

One only has to look at William Wilberforce and the anti-abolitionists who worked tirelessly and fearlessly to overthrow something that they knew to be morally corrupt and evil.
Today we look back on the slave trade with disgust and shame and rightly so for it is one of the most shameful chapters in the history of mankind. Yet, in it's day, it was a thriving industry accepted as the norm by most people.
We see from this one example that rightly motivated people, with a just cause, can bring about great change for the better.

You CAN make a difference.

Absolutely agree......

"Let it be" is a valid observation...

Yet God has many faces-voices, and to remain silent is to silence the god within. I see far too much of this,

The voices of ignorance-tyranny speak loudly and often elequently...

Unless we also speak out against injustice ,we too will be victimized.

One doesn't necessarily have to sail with Greenpeace or wave banners.

But simply listen to ones heart.

And Elie Wiesel is an inspirational voice, for sure.

Henri I love what you say about listening to one's heart. I believe if we do that we simply can't go wrong.
