Stillness

To be truely creative of wise the mind must be still. Stillness is our esential nature and it is through stillness that one may live a peaceful, loving and spiritual life.

What exactly is stillness? It is having a quiet mind, a mind not bombarded by thought and mental chatter.

For many people meditation gives rise to a still mind. When one's mind is still during everyday life reality is no longer percieved through the mind alone.

When transcendance of the mind takes place one experiences life as it truely is, thus the word truth is often used by spiritual teachers.

This is what stillness is to me.

The purest revelation is found in stillness and silence. As the restless mind is eased of its burden, the truth of life becomes clearer.

Does anyone wish to share their experience with stillness. Or what it means to them? How do you remain still minded? What is stillness to you?
