Tai Chi DVDs or videos?

Hi, everyone. I participated in a Taoist Tai Chi class a few years ago, but didn't keep up the practice at home.

Can anyone recommend a good Tai Chi DVD or video? I am in Canada. I think I can pick it up again watching a DVD - going to a class just doesn't work for me right now.

Thanks!

Hi, DuskShine. Thanks for this recommendation. Sorry about not getting back to you earlier; I kinda forgot about this thread!

Beautiful user name, by the way! Take care!

Anything by Dr. Paul Lam is fantastic. Before you do purchase a DVD of his, you can search for some of his classes on youtube and try them out. He gives many samples of his tai-chi exercises there. I recall one is about 45 minutes long, so its not just a 3 or 4 minute video.

I have the DVD that is Tai Chi for Arthritis and it is wonderful. A 2disc set, it is very well put together. Highly recommend it.

Hi, Raven Poet. I follow Spring Forest qigong. There are quite a few youtubes from Spring Forest, and you can also order DVDs. The qigong master also gives talks every Tuesday, and you can sign up to listen to them.

There various videos of tai chi on you tube.
Some are quite simple,yet effective.
I think tai chi is helpful to improve your equanimity.
I'm not 100% sure what that word means, balance and serenity maybe.

I also like the DVD called "Tai Chi: stillness through motion". It has the short Yang form, by Master Chao Pang.

I would say the brains participation while exercising is just as important
as the movements.Obviously I need to remind myself of this fact.

Have a look at www dot taichi18 dot com

Master Wing Cheung has created an 18 form version called Sibashi Tai Chi

A video of Level 1 is on the website, freely downloadable. From there you can take it as far as you want.
