Why do we have to die ?

Would love to here what you think life and death mean in spiritual development. Where did your life come from and why does life deteriorate at a certain age of a persons life to the point of death?

It's my belief that we die so that our soul can be reincarnated and its/our spiritual growth/jounrey/development can continue.

Hello Karen,

In all honesty I can only answer your question by first explaining that what seems to be born and then apparently dies is just an appearance.

To ask where life comes from implies causality, and what was never really born never really dies.

Appearances of you and me, them and us etc. come and go in that which always is.

What seems to apparently go was caused by what supposedly came before that but where this occurance happened is totally timeless and nameless in it's own non~causal eternity.

Questions of linear startings and endings play out there appearances in what was, is, and will be before, during, and after any idea of individuals seeking answers.

Maybe, just maybe, the answer to the question is simply before the one who asks?

And the answer before the appearance of the questioner asking a question can be overlooked sometimes, simply because the mind's function is to provide too many questions for which there are no answers.

In the silence, which the questioner seems to break by the asking of a question is the answer!

No individual ever died that was never born outside of unicity.

There is no seperation at any begining, middle, nor end unless a fragmented mind believes it was born to question it's own demise!

Namaste,

Bob23.

We die because our bodies wear out after some time. Obsolescence is in the nature of everything in material world. I think the root cause of obsolescence lies ultimately in the working of karma.

Im in shock of how short my answer is to this question. Usually, I told im quite wordy lol! Karen, the answer is, we must die to learn how to let go of the attachment of the body. This was Christ's true message when he gave his life, surrender.

Why do we die?

Well, Karen, here is another view of that question - albeit somewhat related to "linear" time...

I believe that a physical body is to allow us as spiritual beings to express our spiritual nature in physicality, and to experience this realm of Creation and bring that experience back to God.

The physical body, some say, could easily last for over 2000 years - IF one kept it well and did not wear-and-tear it to destruction by the lifestyle and motivation or attitudes that one engages in. However, eating foods that are not very nourishing or contain poisonous substances, and creating karma (or having to discharge some karma of our ancestors) means that our bodies are subject to wear and tear, disease, decay and "accidents" (all of which are karmic consequences).

Who would want to carry on living in a body that had lost its functionality to such an extent that one's real nature could no longer express much at all? So when the body no longer can function, we get release and a sojourn in the higher realms, and take time to reflect on the lessons of the past life and recuperate. "Immortality" in the physical life would be a dubious goal to aim at; ancient pre-history - as some spiritual researchers have found - relates how a few individuals from another star system came here to live, and prolonged their lives for 18,000 years in an effort to "live forever". Alas, it ended in a great disaster with insanity due to their bodies decaying, and the letting off of nuclear bombs which devastated two thirds of the planet's surface life. (You may or may not find that credible, but that's what they say! This was many, many millenia ago).

I have also heard of yogis within living memory who knew that they had accomplished everything their Souls had wished for this embodiment, and simply told their nearest friends that they were going, and died in their sleep (or in their last meditation) - transferring to the higher realms of life consciously.

Once you really know that life and consciousness are eternal, death of the body is not seen to be such a big deal; it is a gateway to a new and more expansive life. No doubt people are afraid of it because it is an unknown; but I am convinced that our Creator loves us and has provided for us to enjoy an expanding existance, once the purposes of physical human life have been fulfilled. Not for nothing is sleep-state known as "the little death", as we visit the same realms each night while the body rests.

Hope this information is useful to you!

Greetings..

We NEVER cease to exist.. we wear out these vessels we call bodies and move on to other experiences.. but, as is evident by the examples of reincarnation, this particular physical experience is somewhat addictive for the spirit.. i think much is resolved from the spiritual perspective while in the physical manifestation, and the experience is very addictive..

We are always present in the Unified Cosmic Consciousness, the sum total of our existence resonates as a complete and precise memory within the Whole, always accessible always as alive as our physical being.. it is resident in the Cosmic Whole along with ALL that has ever been, or ever will be.. at issue is our ability to access this magnificent collection of memories and the wisdoms within..

Be well..

hey karen
we are made up from atoms and atoms cannot be destroyed only re shaped , so you cannot really die . you come back on this planet to make ammends for past problems either you have made or others have made for you , these have to be balanced out before we can move on . you also have a set time in which to complete your " project " if you fail you then have to come back again .
once you can leave this planet with a clean sheet you need not come back you go on to what is called a higher level .hope that makes sense
love and light whitewing
p s thats the simple answer
