Leaving spiritual life

I was told fairly recently in a soul reading that spiritual practice is no longer required of me, that after all my years of meditation and suchlike that my whole being is of a high enough vibration that willed expansion by effort is no longer required... but interestingly I have, over recent years, come across a couple of women who suffer various psychological ailments and are also very intelligent, which interests me as I am supposedly quite the clever fellow, and the impetus now has become more of the nature of seeing how my own spiritual nature, and the insights I gained, can be of use, not only to these women, but anyone and everyone in general.

Just yesterday even I read a paper on complex post traumatic stress disorder and realised I'd had that after a bad Cactus (mescaline) trip back when I was seventeen and yet I'd somehow managed to cure myself slowly but surely though it did take about two decades to do so... but at the same time, having such to go through, figure it all out by myself has, and like the author of the paper I'd read said, been the impetus for a much deeper and vibrant life.

So in hindsight I suppose being spiritual or not often has nothing to do with who we are and what life brings us... it's all spiritual anyways which is merely a perspective, and really if the drive is there for self discovery... it will happen regardless of what we call it.

Spirituality, I think, as a way of being possibly just adds some efficency, some short cuts maybe to realising realisations are realisable... as it were, but then again going off on ones own and having only what is at hand and deemed useful, well, possibly harder but great depths and widths might be there for the eventual taking.

I read something the other day, one of those small snippets that, after a little thinking about, means so much. "Nature does the work, not you." People don't listen to themselves, perhaps 'higher vibrations' is the new 'not burning in hell' or something.

You're welcome. It's not easy, out there on the fringes on your own; a stranger in a strange land. But then you're not leaving your Spiritual Life, you're leaving behind the baggage of what you don't need any more. The Universe always gives us what we need when we need it, and sometimes the foundations on which we have built up so much need to be taken away because we're not going to give them up.

You can't leave your very nature but you can go in a different direction to become it.

Yes, point taken, but you meditate a lot right, Mr I? Many people don't pick that up which is where spiritual traditions help but then again you're right on all of the above too so hats off and many thanks to your work!
