Full Moon November 2017 - Beaver Moon

From https://www.space.com/38454-november-full-moon.html
Quote:
The full Beaver Moon will light up the night sky this weekend, and just miss being a "supermoon" as it passes into the constellation Cetus on its way between Pisces and Aries.

This full moon happens just before the moon reaches perigee, its closest distance to Earth. When the moon becomes officially full on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 1:22 a.m. EDT (0522 GMT), it will be 226,179 miles (364,004 kilometers) away from Earth. It will reach perigee on Sunday (Nov. 5) at 7:10 p.m. EDT (0010 GMT), when the moon is only 224,587 miles (361,438 kilometers) away.

A supermoon is defined as a full moon that occurs when the moon is at perigee. So, if the Beaver Moon were to come just one day later, it would be a "super" Beaver Moon. [Supermoon Secrets: 7 Surprising Big Moon Facts]

Quote:
According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the name of the full moon in November is "Full Beaver Moon"; that is when beavers become active as they get ready for winter.

Many of our "traditional" full moon names were related to native peoples in northeastern North America. According to the Ontario Native Literacy Coalition, the Ojibwe called it Mnidoons Giizisoonhg, the Little Spirit Moon. For the Ojibwe, it was the twelfth month, and it was a time for spiritual reflection ahead of the new year.

In the Pacific Northwest, the Tlingit called it Kukahaa Dís, the Scraping Moon, as it occurs when bears would begin to prepare their dens. A neighboring group, the Haida call it Cha'aaw Kungaay, or "bears hibernate."

In the southern hemisphere, November marks late spring. The Māori of New Zealand described the lunar months in October to November as Whiringa-ā-rangi, or "It has now become summer, and the sun has acquired strength," according to the Encyclopedia of New Zealand.

In China, the traditional lunar calendar marks the November lunation as the ninth month. (This was true in the west as well; the very name "November" means ninth month – starting the year in January was a post-medieval invention.) Called Júyuè, Chrysanthemum month, it's named for the blooming of the eponymous flower.

Overall, the moon in Taurus is an intensely transformational phase for us all—and a time when, collectively, we will briefly confront our shadow sides. There is nothing to fear though, as it is only a temporary altercation and one that will be a pivotal moment within relationships of every kind.

If we surrender to this full moon by attuning with its celestial energy, we will receive a window of immense fearlessness, in which we can tear down our walls, remove our armor, embrace our vulnerabilities, and cleanse ourselves of whatever (or whoever) is wearing us down and holding us back in life. This gives us the determination and conviction to declare exactly who, what, and where we want to be in our lives. We may also discover many of the answers to the “whys” that have been resounding in our hearts and heads for far too long.

The rendezvous between the moon and Taurus brings forward a dramatic and unusual transition phase for those with a cautious, guarded, and bullish nature, as they are not usually the ones who embrace sudden change. However, despite the moon’s nurturing and tender love affair with Taurus, it’s going to be brimming full with life-shifting wisdom—along with the volatile, fiery energy—from the sun.

the one with yourself is most important.
rip of the mask and get real honest about where we are, why we are there and where we wanna be.
TRUTH. HONEST. no exuses or reasoning it away with 'but'.

its also a time in cosmic history where pluto and jupiter are playing a hand in the shift. pluto has us focus on death, birth sex, cycle of life. its also highlighting all we transform, like the rising phoenix and with jupiter, the planet of expansion in the era of the age of aqaurius, we are gaining more knowledge within and due to transformative experiences, physical and soul deep.

so yeahh, its certainly a time for some things to die. rise new again to be authentic in a deeper expansion of the self and soul.
i think with this full moon it's going to wake and shake many, especially those who are stubborn and 'fixed'. you wont move? well then, things will move for you! some things must die for truth to bloom.
