The cosmic dance of Lord Shiva

Creation is work without an object and is called as the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva (God).

There are two types of work. One is objectless work (akarmaka kriyaa) and the other is work with an object (sakarmaka kriyaa).

For example, let's take the statement, “Rama killed Ravana”. In this statement, the verb has an object. The verb describes the work of killing and the object is Ravana.

On the other hand, in the statement, “Rama walks”, the verb represents the work of walking, which has no object.

Extending this logic, it is possible to say that in the absolute plane, even primordial energy, which is the ultimate cause of this creation, is just a form of work. Hence, all of creation, consisting of different modified forms of primordial energy, becomes only work.

In this sense, this work of creation has no object because the entire creation (consisting of all possible objects) is simply work. There is no object or entity leftover that is not work.

But it's important to remember that this state is the absolute plane and not the relative plane in which we experience certain forms of work as objects (such as a hill, a table, etc.) and certain other forms of work as work (such as electricity).

In the absolute plane, no object is leftover and hence all of creation becomes a work without an object. When we say that somebody is dancing, the work of dancing is also present without an object. Therefore, this entire creation is stated to be the dance of God (Lord Shiva).

Human beings are a work of God that works for God through our use of free will. What a wonderful miracle of God.

Hi Folks..

So - Im not a Hindu - though I do share a lot of your beliefs and philosophies as my own unique gnostic truth reveals.. As Im reading the OP here, I just had a literal "flashback" to a direct spiritual encounter with Christ that I had some years ago - and as I sit and ponder this here now, I have to ask seriously -what do you think..?.. Is it possible that Lord Shiva, and Christ are two manifestations of the same Mind..?..Same Divine force..??....

See, Im asking because in my Christ experience, how to say this - we sat in Paradise together - we shared a big fat spliff of the best weed I have ever had - we had a joke about the "tree of knowledge of all good an evil" - and He laughed and teased about my naivete..

And see -as this was happening, He was chainging His form right before my eyes, like at leisure - first He looked "classic" beard, long hair, Arabic - next He was a small child - an old man - a woman - many different images all changed as His mood and emotion and intent changed, and as He gave me the spliff - I can see it again clearly - triggered by that post above - He was a youth, maybe 25 or so, laughing joyously as He did this, and He definately had got blue skin, and is not quite human at some points....

I just accepted it all as part of the experience - and over the years different flashes of "memory" resurface that flesh it out as whole - such as here, I read that O P and my experience came again VIVID, I can hear the sound of His laugh again, feel that emotion and awe begin to rise even here as Im typing this...WOW....That really was an awesome experience and IM sitting here with a big cheesy grin on my face at the memory of it - the religious Christians call me a liar - but I know what I know - and now there is clearly some more to be revealed yet...Very intriguing....

Hello Miss Hepburn, good to hear from you. Yup, we have been down this road before. The OP has been written by me but is based completely on the teachings of my Guru, Shri Datta Swami. Not sure, but I think you've gone through some of the Swami's discourses in the past.

From what I've learned, Shiva and Jesus are manifestations of the same unimaginable, absolute reality we call God. Shiva is the energetic form of God, present in a higher world that isn't usually visible to souls in this world while Jesus is the human form of the Lord relevant to souls in this world.

In the school of philosophy, I follow, Buddha, Jesus, Krishna, Mohammed, etc. are all human forms of the same unimaginable God. At their core, when you filter out all the corruptions and misinterpretations, all religions consist of the same beautiful spiritual knowledge given by the one absolute God through different forms across different times and places.

I think the point being put is that in the absolute is nondual and impersonal without the subject-object nexus , while the relative is dualistic in contrast.
