Where would I find a spiritual master that radiates lots of unconditional love?

I find that when I'm near a being that radiates unconditional love... (usually animals), my heart begins to open. Negative energy is purged from my heart center and I usually begin to weep. It's a great feeling of release, that i would like to recreate in a controlled space.

See, this purging has only happened in sparse, random spaces. For instance, once, I was sitting on a bench, and a cat crawled onto me. Unconditional love was felt... loads of it.. absolutely beautiful feeling, I began weeping. It was great. I was being purged of any energy within my heart center that didn't align with unconditional love.

Another time, a bird landed near me. I was completely bombarded with that good ol unconditional love, again. It was AMAZING. The tears began to flow, again.

I can tell that there is still tons of negative energy within my heart that needs to be purged, which is why I am now consciously looking for a spiritual master who radiates this love (obviously due to being completely enlightened), so I can recreate this situation in a controlled space, and rid my heart center completely of any negative energy that may be there. I want to expand my hearts capacity for joy, and for connection. Right now, my capacity for these things is very very small, due to not being treated well in the past, and my heart closing itself off, to avoid further hurt. But now I am away from that situation, I'd like to open back up. I hope to resolve this with the help of a master.

So where do you all think I would find a master like this? I honestly would rather not to go to India right now... so I am pretty much looking for a western master.. if those exist

My teacher, Sri Vasudeva is always radiating massive amounts of unconditional love - like a supernova. He's based in Trinidad but also travels throughout Europe and North America.

Have you considered YOU are a being of unconditional love, and by extension, YOU can provide the source of unconditional love that you desire. While I understand how other beings (pets in particular!) can open those feelings in you, remember those feelings are within you, always. If you can raise your vibrations, those negative energies cannot exist and will dissolve away. Yes, external entities/beings can be greatly helpful in this process, but IMO, if you're looking externally for a 'trigger' to bring in unconditional love, you'll never stop looking for one. Look inside yourself, you have everything you could need!

Yeah, completely understood, but I'm just looking for healing. I need to be in the presence of an external source of unconditional love long enough to purge all of the negative energy within me. I totally get what you're saying though.

Have you tried crystals, sage, etc.? But I do understand what you mean by proximity to someone as well. For me, going to music concerts/shows can provide a similar feeling of 'unconditional love.' All these people gathered to see a band, singing along, dancing, puts out a lot of positive energy (that sense of community and love for the music is still there whether it's black metal or bluegrass). Whether or not individuals realize their energy is being put out like that, it's still there. It doesn't have to be music, could be anything that interests you that has a gathering of like-minded people. Maybe that could work until you find a specific healer/master?

I believe I need to be overwhelmed with the unconditional love energy for it to work, for me. crystals such as rose quartz, small pieces probably wont do it. in fact, ive already bought one before, so I suppose i already know this, for sure.

and yeah, I can def imagine that being around a bunch of presumably happy, connected people would put out a pretty awesome energy.

although i appreciate your suggestions, I can only imagine that the best thing to do is continue what seems to be working. maybe i should get a pet, or something like that. since ive had two occurances of this working, it would definitely probably be in my best interests to try and recreate them, instead of searching for an elusive master.

I believe I should add that there is a TON of negative energy, blocking my heart center. I imagine, although I can't remember it well, I went through a lot, in childhood. this isn't some tiny amount , if thats what you might be thinking... there is an enormous heaviness and tightness in my heart area... its quite the ordeal, it seems.

Yeah! I love all pets, but cats are awesome :P. Go to the local SPCA/animal shelter and look for pets that need adopting! I never actively looked for a pet, I had several dogs pass through my life that I could have adopted but it just never worked out. But then I got my cat. He was a stray from a litter that my boss was fostering, they gave him to me as he was the last one that wasn't adopted. He's been my little buddy ever since. To a degree, I think the pets 'choose' you, so visit a few shelters, if they're around. And maybe just volunteering at a shelter/rescue could help too? It can be emotionally difficult, especially if it's not a no-kill shelter, but if you can't own a pet due to your living situation or otherwise, it could work as well.

As for your past trauma, I'm sorry to hear that. I truly hope you can ease the pain in your heart.
