Getting What I Want

For the most part, I think I'm a pretty positive, optimistic person. However, I get easily discouraged when things don't go how I want them to go in my timeframe.
Right now, I'm applying for graduate school for the January cohort as I'd like to become a Family Nurse Practitioner before the age of 26. I'm praying that I get into to a good school that will give me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and soon. Initially, I wanted to go to school but I was rejected by my alma mater and that made me feel less confident. I really think I will be good as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I just need the right training. I truly believe I can do it. I just need to get in.

How can I manifest the power of positive thinking and Law of Attraction to make this possible?

I'll be honest with you guys, I've lost some confidence in the past few years from experiencing rejection and some other stuff at my alma mater so I'm taking my rejection from it as a sign that God wants me to move on from that experience. But I also feel kind of like I'm someone who gets easily rejected when it comes to these things. I just don't feel confident about getting into things anymore.

Graduate school is such a different ball game than undergrad. It's common not to get accepted to your graduate school of choice, its such a competitive environment.

I think you can do anything you set your mind too. Good luck with it all, believe in yourself, and don't get discouraged. YOU WILL get in somewhere. Heck, you did the work, now you just have to wait to see who accepts you. You already have the credentials, your on your way!

Thanks BlueCover

I'm going to hope. I need to get confident that I'm going to get in.

Hi,

Your higher self is the aspect of You responsible for your Life Plan. There are reasons for everything you speak about.

May I suggest a meditation like self talk conversation with your inner wisdom(higher self) about these things. Ask for insights instead of reasons for your experiences. That is actually the best way to discover the reasons. Once you discover instead of being told the reasons you will be better prepared to use those insight to manifest what you want.

John

Thanks, John. I'll try that.

I think that John and Blue Clover are both right. You have worked hard- let that bring you confidence. The fact that you were rejected at your first choice of schools- let that bring you acceptance. There are reasons for everything. You know in your heart that this is what you want to do- that just is not the place that is going to get you there. As soon as you accept what is, you can move forward. Be at peace. Take comfort in the fact that you are going get exactly where you need to be, exactly when you need to be there. We have faith in you! :)

And some excellent advice from 12meadows ~
" Take comfort in the fact that you are going get exactly where you need to be, exactly when you need to be there. "

Best wishes to you !

I think this page might help you http://getbusylivingblog.com/famous-...pite-failures/
Disney was rejected by 307 banks, when he wanted to get money for his park. Harry Potter book was rejected by 12 publishers, and finally the 13th accepted, but was advised her to get a day job, since there is no money in children's books... You get the drift. Being accepted doesn't make you better and being rejected doesn't make you worse in any way.

I wanted to thank you guys for all your feedback. I've decided to continue applying for graduate school, but I have come to detach from the outcomes.

Thank you all for the encouragement and insight.

"You create your Reality" - Seth. (Jane Roberts)

The problem with self-help books and positive affirmations is that they don't get rid of any negative beliefs that you may have that are holding you back from what you really want. Think of these beliefs as vibrations (because that's what they really are)

Your past thoughts, your present and thoughts towards your future all effect the NOW. Because in reality that's all that exists. Now. Now and Now. Your thoughts effect your emotions, and create beliefs. Your emotions also ripple out into the reality around you, bringing in what ever it is you feel!

If you have negative feelings towards a future event, you are likely to manifest it that way in your now. (A negative feeling is anything that does not feel good - this includes doubt!) Your reality can't give you anything more or less than what you "ask" for - because you are the one projecting onto your physical reality, it can only react to you according to how you feel.

You have to believe and I mean really believe, without doubt that you will get what you want out of life. If there is any doubt, the (You)niverse will match that doubt ... making it seemingly harder for you to achieve your dreams - causing more doubts. (Yes, it's a vicious cycle, but one that you must break if you wish to see the results you want!)

A good starting book I strongly recommend above all other books is Seth: The Nature of Personal Reality - free PDF files can be found online if you search for them :) And of course any other books by Seth!
