Tao in Everyday Life

I have an idea that will go nowhere:
How about Tao fortune cookies? The fortune will be blank, except one side will be a little darker than the other side.

Haha! I like that idea, as long as the cookie part is delicious.

Does not the joy of taste indicate one is on the right path?...fear not to seek into the darker parts of the refridgerator in the depths of the night...a treasure awaits within...

Ever notice how that little swirl on chocolate creams looks like the yin-yang symbol?

I'd not be surprised if the orginal fortune cookies came from Taoists but Taoists hooked into older traditions and so, ...

Chocolate and vanilla go great together.

Emptiness

Thirty spokes converge at the hub,
but emptiness completes the wheel.

Clay is shaped to make a pot,
and what's useful is its emptiness.

Care fine doors and windows,
but the room is useful in its emptiness.

What is
is beneficial, while what is not
also proves useful.

Tao Te Ching, A New Translation by Tao Tzu

And does not the shape of the skull, the ears, the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the hair define the head of the student...yet, the important part is the emptiness there-in...
