The Divine Nectar ?

I have heard lately about a method of meditation called the Divine Nectar.

All I know is that the goal is to stretch your tongue to a section of the palate until a strange nectar begins to flow.

Can someone please give me more information about this kind of meditation?

Hi Johnnystuff,

It has to be connected to the bindu chakra. I think the following post could give you more information:

It is in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika somewhere in chapter 3 if my memory serves me right. The thing about that chapter is that it tells us to practice it energetically, which for many often is easier when they do it physically. So it suggest that it is an energetic release that stimulates the physical senses.

Google kechari...spelled in different ways...and it is not 'strange', btw.

Often, a doctor will have to bring the tongue of a newborn out..
because it is in this position with the tongue straight up behind the uvula.

Crying baby ? Place on drop of honey on it's tongue, bec it will
remind him of the Divine Nectar he was used to.

Paramahansa Yogananda deleted this technique from his initiations
of Kriya Yoga...he thought it too much for Westerners back in the day...
as he thought a lotus position was too much so taught to sit
in a chair, keeping the spine erect....sitting on wool.
But, it was part of Babaji and Lahiri's and Sri Yukteswar's original
initiations revealing 4 esoteric techniques.

You can ask devotees of 20 years and they know nothing about this 4th technique
involving the tongue...it may be mentioned to place the tongue on the roof of the mouth...
but that is a pale remnant of the orig process.

You can also sit for years doing this technique...but it is only
by the Grace of God that Nectar will flow...often translated by
Eastern masters as the Manna from Heaven of the Jews...and the
real teaching of the 'living waters' offered to the woman at the well.
Living waters is mentioned often in the Bible.
Also, claimed to be the true original meaning of the mythical Fountain of youth.

A friend, hospitalized healed his burns phenomenally fast due to placing Nectar on his
severe burns...amazing the MDs. I was there...it really happened.

I wonder if this would have gotten more attention in Meditation or Hinduism...Hmmm.

I just noticed this and everybody has basically covered it.

The process is called Kechari Mudra - using the tongue to milk the Bindu Chakra of Soma.

The Soma is produced through the retention of semen or Veerya. It is said to aid in meditation - but I don't believe one needs to go this far.

To enable the tongue to reach the Bindu Chakra, some cut the frenum Linguae muscle under the tongue...but then they have to manually pull their tongues out to talk or eat...not a pretty sight.

Just place the tip of your tongue behind your top palate teeth as you place your heel against the perineum and lower the head so the chin locks into the neck...this will do.

If you follow the yogic teaching you actually dont have to do anything physically. It can all be done through dhayana.

I didn't know you knew so much about it, impressive.
And have you experienced Nectar?

Thank you. It was part of my learning about chakras and kundalini. I don't think I have experienced it, but I have experienced Divine Love which is like nectar to me.
