Question Strength of Aroma/Diffusers

A few years ago I got my first Diffuser which was a Zenbow costing a little over £40.00.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01J93ZV7A

It was easy to use, beautiful to look at but unfortunately lasted less then a year and that was with constantly drying it out between uses otherwise it just wouldn’t work.

Not wanting to spend that sort of money again on something that wasn’t going to last, I bought this Arespark

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Essential-D...l+oil+diffuser

Although it works and hasn’t let me down so far, I’m not convinced it gives the same strength of aroma. With the Zenbow if I used 6 drops of each oil that would produce quite a strong aroma. With the new one, I can use 10 plus drops of two oils and can barely smell it.

So I’m wondering if this is all in my imagination. I would have thought all oil diffusers work in the same way but has anyone else used more than one type/brand of diffuser and had a different strength of aroma.

Oh and yes, I use the same brand of oils (therapeutic grade).

I've only had experience with one small diffuser, which I usually put five or six drops in (one drop when using sage). It doesn't fill a room like an oil warmer for half an hour or so, but it does give out a constant aroma. Hopefully someone will come along shortly to answer your question :)

I've also only used one 300ml diffuser recently (that popular "wood grain" style), and it was so weak as well, 10 drops and the smell was barely noticeable then disappeared completely wihtin the hour...went back to the oil warmer :p I prefer those, honestly, the smell is stronger because the oils aren't as diluted and it lasts for hours.

Well I've answered my own question here. I bought yesterday a Soto Diffuser and it is so much better than the previous one. And I was right, the aroma it gives off is so much stronger. In fact I am so used to putting loads of oil in, it was overwhelming the aroma, so I can cut back a bit on drops I use, which is great as I'll save money. The Soto was £50.00, where the one I'm comparing was £17.00. So folks, if you can afford it, best to go for the more expensive one.
