Should I be silent at the altar?

I did a reading using the oracle deck "Earth Magic" on the topic of my health, and some of the cards I picked was The Green Man and Ceremony.

I did a ceremony just some minutes ago where I sacrificed some vegetables. But I got in such a bad mood after it. I did a regular tarot card reading about it, and got The Tower with The Hierophant as a clarifying card.

Now I wonder - I've felt the healing starts already when I prepare the dish with veggies, but it got all wrong when I spoke. Should I do my ceremony in silence and maybe write on a paper what I wish instead?

Would that be honoring The Green Man - responsible for the silent plants he is?

The Green Man is a Celtic Deity and from what you posted here, I got the feeling that it's what you said. Perhaps there's some words you used that He disagreed with. Since I don't know what you said, you might want to rewrite what you said. I'm assuming that by silence, you mean by saying the words in your mind. Even if you said those words silently, I believe The Green Man would still be upset at what you said.

I believe those same words, written down, would still cause trouble.

Maybe try rephrasing your request or whatever it was. Seems the rest of your ceremony is good.

When I cast spells, or hold ceremonies- offering or devotional ceremonies- which it seems you are doing, I always do these things in silence without writing or speaking words.

To send out my intent for what I want accomplished- in your case help with your health- I hold my intent in my heart, or feel my intent rather than speak it. This works for me fine.

To feel health and the offering for health- such feeling focuses such as feeling gratitude, love, the healing done already- or holding healing thoughts for others in your heart may help?

Just a suggestion, which you don't have to try if you don't want. A mere consideration.
