I don't know, but before sleep, for me, it's the best time to meditate.Anyway, that period of falling asleep is gone, now I can keep myself awake very easily and I even discovered a way to go into a transe from where I can receive messages.I received two messages while I was in meditation and another before having an OBE.

This is what I received last night:

It's natural to give humanity a chance.

It was the voice of a man and I could hear it clearly like I hear people talking in daily life.

How do I do it? I wait to totally relax my body and my mind, then, I start to feel my awareness inside my body, somewhere near my heart and my mind, I feel like it is floating inside my body, my awareness is like an orb, then from this point on, I let it to float peacefully into this void that surrounds my awareness, when this happenes, I see images and I hear people talking... This is the transe that I talked about, I have no control, everythings comes to me, and it keeps only few moments, then, my awareness returns back.I can do it for several times and if I am lucky to her something clearly, I don't even need to write it down, it stays in my mind.

But is it better to fall asleep during meditation or sex?

I would say that about sums it up

I would rather stay awake during meditation (because I am so exhausted at times) but if I fall asleep, it's annoying! but whatever, I can just get back to it later.

I would rather skip sex altogether if I'm falling asleep...as that seems too creepy to me, similar to otherwise being unconscious during sex.

Peace & blessings

Yep, happens to me as well. But that's not the same as falling asleep during meditation. I think I explained the difference rather well in my previous post.

Actually I do fall asleep occasionaly when I meditate but only for a few seconds. Usually it happens when I am not getting enough sleep.

Sometimes the lines between deeply relaxed and light sleep start to blur. It just takes a little practice to keep your focus. When it happens I lightly bring myself back.

I think it really depends on the requirement of the practice you are undergoing. For me, it doesn't help if I fall asleep during meditation. It is a bit of a waste as I might as well slept on my cosy bed. :-)
