I wuz cheated

Five years ago I had a triple bypass on my heart, While my chest was still open I had a stroke on the operating table. Dislodging a blood clot is a risk of that operation.
As a result I went into a coma that lasted four weeks. So how was I cheated?
In all the popular fiction a coma results in some sort of psychic power. I came out of it the same schlub as I was before the coma. Where are my superpowers? Somebody owes me. I wuz cheated.

I know four weeks isn't that long but how about at least a minor power like being able to talk to gerbils or making people pass gas?

I don't remember anything after they came to take me into the operating room but the rehab was worse than the operation. My muscles were weak from inactivity so I had to learn to walk all over again and my mind was still muddled. It took several months before my brain was working properly again. I don't remember any pain at all.

That is very funny. I couldn't say that if I hadn't had a triple myself in 2014.

I'd like to know what a coma is like (I best be careful what I wish for, huh?! xd). They started cutting me open while I was still awake and aware, but I didn't know at first what it was, but it was downright scary anyway. It felt like they were sandpapering my chest up and down a few strokes, then a wavy cut.

Maybe the superpowers are an add-on they forgot to ask you about.

I don't know about others who have experienced a coma but mine was very confusing. I built a separate reality in my mind that I lived in while in the coma. Sometimes things from outside would make their way through but it all got garbled as I tried to fit it into my new mental reality. I remember a mans voice saying "If he dies ---" . I've since decided it was the hospital lawyer worried about a lawsuit. Two nurses introduced themselves and said they would care for me but I don't know for sure which reality that was in. I'm still trying to sort it all out five years later.
BTW, neither I nor any of my family would ever sue a doctor who was doing his best to save my life.
