That sounds like a mountain of attachment. As I am sure you know, attachment only leads to suffering.

Maybe the Buddha said it as a monotone, matter of fact statement without any lofty zealous emotions attached? ^_^

Not all attachment causes suffering, it's the ' desire ' to attachment that's the problem. Buddha's teachings are egoless, he taught for the benefit of mankind.

Attachment to truth and unconditional love and selflessness does not lead to suffering.
Language and words are so limited and imprecise when used. Yet we conclude we are saying the most meaningful profound truths when we use them.
