Trying to see my aura (electric blue?)

Probably about a year ago, I first tried doing these exercises to learn to see my aura. They're where you stand in front of a white wall, or hold your hand over a piece of white paper, and stare at one spot for 30-60 seconds until you start seeing color around whatever you're looking at. I tried doing it again today, and now I have a slight headache, but I got the same result as I did the last time. I always first see white, and then it turns into this electric blue. I've never seen a different color. My mom has done this exercise, too, and sees the same color in herself and me. So I'm wondering if I'm doing it right and if this is the correct color of my aura? Or if with practice I'll see a different color? WHen I look at my hand over a piece of paper, the bright blue usually extends out about an inch from my actual fingers.

Hey i know exactly what you mean, I see the exact same thing, but only on mine and all my friends see the same in theirs. Of course we're all beginners so i was also wondering if that is just some kind of electrical/magnetic field we all see in ourselves or if we all have the same aura colour (which i think can't be possible)

Yes, your doing it right.

I, too, have a blue Aura. It was a light electric blue color, but has changed to a deeper blue as I raise my spirirual awareness. This is my base color. If I put healing light around me, I'll be able to see those colors too.

Many years ago I read that the easiest way to start seeing the aura, was to place the fingertips and thumb together, of the right and left hands,then slowly draw them apart, after a few attempts, you should begin to see a wispy smoke like stream between them, it helps if you view against a nuetral background, I have told quite a few people about this, and they have been really surprised at the results.

That's how I learned, jondav. I didn't know it was a "thing" - I learned by experimentation. I am still not very adept, but it's fun to pass an object through the aura. You get a real sense of depth. Mine appears to be pink, at least close to the body. It occasionally shoots sparks of other colors. My husband gets annoyed - he says it's like watching me play with an invisible kitten.

I hadn't paid attention to my aura in a few months, and it has definitely become lavender. Have any other posters seen alterations in their auras?

Mine changes so often... Its from purple to green to blue to soft blue to white.
Its really strange and hard to keep track of. But I've tried it on my dad while he was walking around and his was a lemony yellow.
I can't do it on plants for some reason? Maybe I need to practice some more x.x...

When I started seeing auras, for a time I only saw one or two colors. I wondered the same thing about why all the auras I saw looked the same. I think I was just picking up more on that particular energy of people because I couldn't see all of it yet. In other words, my opinion is that we all have aspects of all these energies, just as we have the different chakras. Some might be more dominant, but unless the person seeing it can PERCEIVE that visually in an aura, maybe only what you can see comes through.

I too can only see one aura. I think it's my own but when I look at other people their aura starts off white and slowly turns to green (my aura) Could that be used as a healing tool then? However, I usually want to see what other peoples auras are and I get agitated when my green aura pops up. Any solutions?

I don't have a solution, Emerald, but your idea to use it for healing is interesting. I wonder if attempting to change the aura color of others with your green would be harmful to you? Would the goal be to change people's auras back to the initial color you saw? Would you be absorbing other people's ill health? I don't know much about healing.
