I'm so sorry for the damage to your property but I'm so grateful to know that you're safe. I hope you stay safe over January!
Unfortunately Tassie has been hit too - that basically means every major state or territory in Australia has been hit. It's devastating. I'm glad you had enough evacuation notice to be able to take your pets with you - a number of people haven't been able to in the past 24hrs as the fires just moved so quickly. My heart is in my stomach for those stuck in Bateman's Bay NSW or Mallacoota VIC, as they are almost entirely ringed in fire... :(
