And lips as vivid
And cool as drops of rain
You meet me in the howling
Gale of winter
In the breaking dawn of spring
In the unfolding heat of summer

Green
Leaves
Of reality

And we
Took turns chiming in
With the wind.

The tales of old like
Wild haired gales around
Our uncombed hearts
Carrying us further over
The trees
Of the Long Land of Polar Bears.

At the end of the rainbow
A treasure they said
At the end of this was you.

Round on the floor of the
Shore they lie
Waiting
With their story emerald
In the morning light.
In my hand they start
Singing, feeble voices
Of distant stars and sisters
Of empty spaces where we live
Also

While we wait here for our
Turn
To be
Round
On the floor
Of the Shore.

Along my arm
Your cool
Drawing my contours
Shaping my outer edge

And now I am
Ready

Through the leaves of light
a tale of broken dreams
now growing
and solemn vows forgotten
well hidden underground.
And while the shimmering rustle
of our tree sing on
we find our pace from her
memory and our beat
from the promises at her feet.

Move on, with me,
move on.

When she tells a story
And forgets to listen
He walks off alone
Refusing help
Drowning in her loneliness.
As another lifts him up,
With a broken back
Hefty shame, a witness
Greets the hero
With light
That he sees
And for all the praise
He never saught that light
Beguides the way,
She knows not where to go
And sits a while
With a silent stranger.

When she tells her story
And forgets to listen
Our hero listens in.
Next turn it will be his story told
And him that has forgotten.
