This was an experiment and a practice picture. Took a page out of an art therapy book I have. Using watercolors, I started with the red lines in the background I took crimson red solo then added another color. I did this randomly 55 times using whatever color came up. It was very fun to do. 
This was the result:

Had a few issues with this one. Some personal, some dealing with 108-112 temps and part of that with the cooler not working right. Ink does not flow right in heat and mistakes are forever.

The colors are nice but I see what you mean.

Suppose to be Gemini, that is the symbol. the colors are keeping with the 'twin' theme and are 2 different ink colors on everything in layers.
And shows even in doing art you can have an off day.

This is the 1st new piece I've done since my move.
It has been an experiment for me combining gel ink pens and watercolor paint.
Also 1st time I have used gel ink pens.

The mandalas are lovely - it's fun to experiment - I like gel pens.
The parrot painting has nice combo of colors.
