Bright objects being reported flying, and shooting over various parts of Texas.


"But there's no known meteor shower making an appearance right now. The Orionids should be long gone by now. The sun is active very active, though, so should we be all that surprised by Nature's current firework shows?"

In fact, during the Orionoids, I didn't see anything, here. Part of the time was overcast. But afterwards in successive couple of nights I got to see some shooting stars. One actually fell from the Constellation, straight down from it.

Update: A giant fireball was spotted in the Eastern US on Monday, November 3rd
Starting October 16th and continuing into November, there have been a steady report of meteors sighted in Texas and other neighboring states."

Red Bull, in a promotional stunt, created a video which some might have thought was a meteor or fireball.
Two others however have been confirmed as actual space rocks.

Antartic researchers match Meteor debris with infrared sound heard in 2004 around the World.
