That's an interesting analogy Mac and it gives me food for thought.

So, would I be right in thinking that, when I reach the spirit world again, I will remember these past lives? Yes if they're important.

I still struggle with the concept and I look forward to discovering the truth about reincarnation one day. All I will say is that I hope we have the option to remain in the spirit world without it being compulsary to come back to earth. Once is enough for me! I understand what you're saying but there's no way of knowing how you'll feel when you get back and learn, or become re-acquainted, with the bigger picture...

Perhaps you'll feel just as you do now - perhaps you won't?

Both.. after you have matured by experience - reincarnating then you can be in heaven.

Upon the transistion known as death, the soul is met
by friends, relatives, or angelic beings to help with the
transition from this realm into the next. It is a realm filled
with light, pure energy, multi-dimensions, and love.

Purgatory is a purging state (earth) where conflicts and
challenges are met and ultimately triumph over, akin, I
suppose, to the pressures of extracting diamonds from the
rough and polishing its innate beauty to shine before the world.

Earth is the greatest classroom in the universe. It is the only
realm that accommodates both the forces and vibrations of
good and evil, and the myriad pairs of opposites neccessary
for the soul's growth.

Reincarnation is an independent choice. Many feel that after
a timeless stay in heaven they may feel the need for further growth.
In heaven there is no pain, death, heartaches, hunger or suffering.
Hence, the growth and progression of the soul is slow there. Earth affords
one a readily opportunity for growth as it contains the pressure-building
factors neccessary for growth. But reincarnation is decided only by the
individual who feels he or she is ready. It may be akin to an actor
starving to play a particular role on stage because it affords him an
opportunity to lose himself in his craft, and ultimately emerge as a
greater artist than before because of the props and challenges he faced.

The process toward perfection is seen in the challenges that may pain us.
But ultimately they become illusions when compare to the greater reality
we return to; this time more perfected and enlightening than before.

I think sometimes there is a misunderstanding, and the person doesn't take their rest, but comes back to earth too fast, and is just a mess.

Not to judge anyone, I just can't see how a person can go either to heaven or hell after just one shot. That, homosexuals choose to be homosexuals, and because of that, will burn in hell. Cat's got my tongue, but anything that is an absolute, because life is not just black or white.

I like to think, that as long as I move forward, I'm doing good. That anything better than this, has some heaven to it. That animals, too, progress forward. (I would think all they could do was go up, because they are so innocent.) That, maybe I think heaven is a perfect earth, but it doesn't have to be exactly that. Maybe just that it was a beautiful place. It doesn't have to literally be a perfect earth. Beliefs separate, so I think the simplest is best, because it covers a larger range.

I personally would rather go through purgatory but go to Heaven afterwards than to go through no purgatory but come back here again.

Hi! First off, let me assure you that, although there is a multitude of evidence for the existence of heaven, there is no evidence whatsoever that either hell or purgatory exist.

Put simply, when we die, we return to heaven - which is our true, eternal home - but eventually most of us will return to earth at some point to learn something new.

I hope this helps!

when you crossover , the soul / spirit travels along a pathway to your destination which is neither purgatory nor heaven , there you will enter another body , many cannot comprehend this , none the less it happens, you have to be able to move around while you wait for your earth name to called and a guide will escort you from there to where you need to be, this is where it starts to get interesting !!!

My preference would be go live just this one earthly life, and then go to heaven, even if purgatory were a necessary preliminary stopover.

I don't want to reincarnate! Earth is a place of too much pain and suffering.

Also, I want to always be ME.

How can that happen if I have been / will be:

who/what I am now, PLUS a woman / Roman gladiator / 19th century plantation slave / Hindu / Asian / African / rabbit / dog / Aztec relay runner / Egyptian pharoah / Bob Cratchett / beetle warrior on the planet Xantos 4 millenium hence. . .

. . . etc. ?

Bob Crachett?

I would like to come back as something in dancing.
I love dancing and still do.
My life would be complete if I had music around me.

You'll do all the singing and dancing that you like J. You'll have the perfect partner to do it with too (three guesses) In spirit.
Your next incarnation (your mission if you wish to accept it) will likely as not be a learning one whether as a singer and dancer or a miner with big boots on and about as much rythem as box of sauce-pans, who knows(!)
