Well, that's up to the individual whether or not they wish to create meaning in their own existence.

For me, if there is no 'bigger picture' and death is the definitive end, then no matter what meaning the individual creates for itself, it means nothing. It is as if they never existed.

For me, it changes everything --- knowing that after death you exist or not.

Sorry, a bit late to the discussion.

Well I guess your means (death) was not the way 'out'.

Surely you know by now that not all lifetimes are fun and joyous. Personally I am questioning why even come for the supposed 'good' lifetimes. If you come to these lifetimes for a purpose, I encourage you to fulfill that purpose so you don't have to redo this lifetime again.

Since apparently you are stuck here for a while longer, perhaps you might go visit some of those 'future' lifetimes you so look forward to.

I am curious about your preoccupation with being 'female'. Have you already explored being male, or are you just avoiding it?

Key word, "for you." Obviously not for everyone.

Well, sure. Everybody can just say their point of view. That is the point of discussion: to share your way of seeing.

I ask the same question. Why at all? 'Good' lifetimes, 'bad' lifetimes with lessons to learn. Ok, but why all of that happens at all?

I gave up on such questions, because, there doesn't seem to be any possible reason anything can exist in the first place. But apparently, it does anyway...

I'm speaking about creating meaning in life not whether or not a person can say their point of view. Meaning is something we create and place attachment to. It is not created by an afterlife.

It can be created by an afterlife --- or more precisely speaking, by a hope for an afterlife or by a disbelief in the afterlife. A person's life meaning may be to make good deeds in a hope for earning a good karma that will create appealing circumstances in the afterlife or next life. Without having prospects for an afterlife or next life there is no need for earning a good karma.

Its the person that's creating the meaning not the afterlife. Read your own words carefully. You are actually agreeing with me.
