New to crystals (and addicted!)

Hello everyone! I am only months into learning about crystals and their energies but I already cannot seem to get enough! I admit, I was skeptical and still remain slightly skeptical (like, an I REALLY feeling this or am I making myself feel it!!)

The first stone I was attracted to was purple obsidian. The day I brought it home, I carried it in my pocket and could not keep my hands off of it. I would find myself holding it with no memory of removing it from my pocket! I went back to the store very soon after that, and the feeling I had in the store was amazing. Like a tingling sensation but not from within. It was like I could feel my aura glowing.

I had an interesting experience tonight. I have a new sodalite stone, which I cleansed with white sage. I decided to sit and feel it in my hand and see what sensations I got from it. It was odd, I felt nothing in my hand, but my temples started to tingle. I found this to be a very odd sensation, not bad but not necessarily good either. So I then decided to sit with my beloved purple obsidian which was also freshly smudged, and I felt the same sensation, only this time it spread down through my cheeks and into my jaw bone. Has anyone ever experienced a sensation like this before?

I am still not certain that I know what I'm doing it if I am doing it all correctly. Sometimes when I try to focus on my crystals, I become easily distracted. And when I smudge them, the same thing happens as I try to visualize the smoke clearing the negative energy. It's hard to focus on it.

YOur 10% of conscious doesn't need to know what must be done to succesfully communicate with the crystals, in fact it can only short-circuit this very delicate subliminal procedure. Let your etheric self vibrate with the crystal, not your mind which may be filled with stress, worries etc etc. When this happens, the crystal can amplify those emissions from you. Breathe, let go of everything else and hold the crystal in your hands close to your heart chakra....and see what happens ;)

Thats great to hear! I bought my first stones yesterday and I feel the same way.
