"Well, gee....trust in the Divine doesn't mean things will be pleasant
and without hardship"
That life can be so cruel makes me doubt the validity of any such faith.
I am allowed to say that mods?
I do hope life looks up for you > why are so many people having a touch time of it?

2tim 3:16 states "time and unforeseen occurrence befall us all..." I personally believe life lessons are learned in tragedy as well as joy. Though we may not always understand those lessons on this plane of existence, it may become quite clear on the other side.

I do not necessarily believe that tragedy is positive, I am simply saying things can be learned even through unfortunate circumstances beyond our immediate control. In no way do I condone mankind's current spiritual condition.

And yet from a young age I was very spiritual, I did believe deeply in the divine.
It doesn't matter what my religious background was, it was what I felt from within.
And for all I would go through , my faith was tested many times.
Always if I had something bad happen, or things going wrong..I managed to keep the faith.
I've had in the past decade , just too many events, too much loss to the point where I've broken ....
And I can't seem to be able to put myself back together this time. And I now am having a hard time .....believing .
I feel life is flitting by , and I cannot hope for anything anymore.
I still mourn my loss, and I'm angry....
I feel I can't forgive life ...and I can't feel the faith and optimism I used to feel...
How do you trust it when life has taken someone you love more than dear life itself away...whatever way you lose them, when they aren't in your life anymore....

exactly same things have happened to me. I asked god to speak to me. But he remained silent and doesnt bother. Now i am stuck to past & i am not able to move on with life.. I am like stucked and under frequent depression. Recently i have started chanting mantra and will not stop till i wont get the answer.

What a sweet thought, dear Starling. Bless your heart.
