Did it work?

My friend Cathy had been sealing up two spirits. The oldest to be sealed, Clara, had been in Cathy three years. I'm not sure how long Caleb has been with her. Anyway, Cathy has been having some problems with a powerful demon, so I knew I had to help somehow. I decided that since I'm not powerful enough for her to leave the demon to me, I'd help in a smaller way. (If you'd like to know about the demon I'm talking about, I posted the whole problem in the "Ghosts and Hauntings" thread yesterday. I'd really like some advice on it.)

I decided I'd take one of her sealed spirits. We couldn't find anything on how to transfer an extra spirit from one person to another, we had to wing it. We opened a circle (we had to use the power of our minds and nothing else, we didn't even have candles) and held hands and closed our eyes. She freed Clara and I tried to coax her in. I'm not a very skilled or powerful person when it comes to this, but I tried my hardest to keep my mind open despite the block I have there. Cathy almost fainted at the loss of Clara, and I felt my heart go heavy.

We closed the circle and looked at each other. Now all we need to know is if our off-the-top-of-our-heads ritual worked. Cathy can't sense Clara, and I've never been able to sense spirits in the first place, so I'm not really sure how I can be sure it worked.

Any suggestions?
