long distant relationships

If it helps, I can tell you about a positve situation in which a long distance relationship worked. My nephew was a tutor on the internet for Taiwanese people learning english. For several years he developed a strong relationship with a woman who lived in Taiwon. They now live together in the states and are very happy together. My advise for you would be to not spend time worrying whether it is the right course of action to pursue the relationship. Rely on your intuition and either put all your energy into making it work or none at all. I think Miagi from Karate Kid put it best when he said "Danielson, walk left side of road, ok, walk right side of road, ok, walk in the middle, get squashed just like grape!" :)

hi i met my boyfriend on the internet and we didnt really live near each other but were still together now and weve been together since october 2004 so yeah i think they can work if u make it we did have our falling out in the time we were living apart tho i did give everything up to come and live with him in febuary last year and have been living together since and i feel as tho meeting him was the best thing ever to happen to me

Ive had a few long distance relationships. One who really stands out is this guy i met online, we live two states away, something like 4000kms. And we hadnt accually met, which in normal circumstances i would find odd and wouldnt call it a relationship. But hes a very special man, we clicked instantly and had something going for 2 years, i talk with his family, am quite close to his brother, hes from italy originally and even started teaching me italian over the phone and email lol in the end, we decided that it made it too hard the way it was, so we decided to stick to being friends. We still love eachother, and talk every week, ive been with others in the meantime and so has he, i think we both know we will end up together again tho. I know your thinking why if hes only a 3 hour plane trip havnt you met.. well a. im scared as hell to meet him lol and b. We were worried that if we met up now, things would change, i have too many problems in my life at the moment that i felt by meeting up, then having to leave again, it would ruin what we have now. One day it will happen :)

But i thnk that as long as you love eachother, things will work out, it matters not the distance:)

i regret to say that my last long distance relationship that i mentioned earlier in this thread ended terrebly about 4 months ago. all i can say is that for a long distance relationship to work both people have to really try to see eachother. it doesnt'work if only one is really trying and the other not doing much (you can see where i found that out lol). me and my ex still have probs and have considerd getting back together a few times but does look like its gonna happen anytime soon
anyway it does work. its just harder then short distance. but it kills off the weak relationships and leaves the strong.
