Ghosts and Latin

I recently visited one of the California missions with my children. I had visited almost all of them as a child, but haven't been back since because I could frequently feel strange and unexplained energies.

Anyway, as I was walking around at Mission San Juan Capistrano, my daughter, who is 4, and I came across the old kitchen area in the padre's quarters. It was as if a wall of air came around us. I had a hard time breathing. It didn't feel bad, just weird. My 4-year-old daughter felt it, too. It's the first time I've come across that type of experience since my childhood. But, it gets weirder. It's like something triggered in me a memory of Latin prayer. Periodically while touring the grounds, I started speaking Latin under my breath. I looked up the words I could remember saying later and I was reciting Latin prayers. I'm not Catholic and I do not speak Latin. Is it possible that somehow a ghost or energetic presence temporarily spoke through me or triggered some knowledge of the prayers from a past life?
