He isn't too upset
he guesses
at least this way

waiting
on something that will never happen.

a normal life

and not have to deal with
all the pain
she had to deal with

but it wouldn't do her any good
as long as her twin is around to torment her

speaking of which
my own twin
has wronged me so many times
and yet still thinks
everything is about her
about who she is
about what she wants

there is never any concern
about what I might feel
about what I might want
it is always about her
about her wants
about her needs
about her feelings.

I guess it should have been obvious
to me
a long time ago
she never cared
and never will

but even now
I don't quite want to believe it.
