I just finished reading A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail by Bill Bryson. It was not bad. Funny at times, sad other times when Bryson writes about the decline of the environment etc. Not on the top of my fav. book list for this year but it wasn't bad either.

I'm currently reading The Secret Thoughts of Successful Women:
Why Capable People Suffer from the Impostor Syndrome and How to Thrive in Spite of It by Valerie Young. Almost finished and next up I plan on reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett, recommended by my mom. Lol.

I opened a short stories book to a story about the Nulabor Plain. 'Nulabor' is latin for 'no trees'.
Now I'm reading an adventure book about the Pilbara in Western Australia. I can't find an exact meaning for Pilbara.
And another short story about a scientific exhibition to an Icy Antarctic desert Island.

So I'm reading about adventures in deserts basically. Lol...

The Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre Wangka Maya says that the name for the Pilbara region derives from the Aboriginal word bilybara, meaning 'dry' in the Nyamal and Banyjima languages.

Alternatively, others claim that the region takes its name from pilbarra, an Aboriginal word for the mullet (fish).

Thanks

That is what I read as well... But didn't want to commit to a conclusion lol. At any rate it has piqued my interest.
