Need advice about this please!

Sorry kinda longish. About three weeks ago my ex boyfriend just popped into my head while I was cleaning the house and he has been in my head ever since. When this happened my chest felt very heavy. The first gut feeling was he is thinking about me too. I haven't thought about him in the past 17 years since we broke up, he was 15 I was 17, we dated for 7 months. I keep getting signs with his name everywhere, I have been hearing songs from the band we both used to like (from the 80's). A little background, a couple months after we broke up I started dating someone new and my ex found out...long story short it became bad between us. A couple years ago my boyfriend at the time saw my ex and my ex asked if he was still with me even though he had a girlfriend at the time. I have just been letting these thoughts pass but some days are stronger than others. Do you think he may be coming back into my life for some reason? Any advice will be truly helpful.

Some people find it so difficult just to let go. People have to move forward with their lives. Someone returning from the past is most likely hoping to return to the status quo. But very few break-ups are repaired successfully second time round. Most end up reverting to the very conduct that broke them up, sooner or later.

Your part in this? Perhaps because he's on your mind you're noticing more signs than you otherwise would. Evidently you haven't let go. Do you want to? Do you want him back in your life? How do you actually feel about him in (as they say) the "cold light of morning"? Do you miss something about him?
