Seeking vs desiring
Seeking the divine that does us elevate
Ecstasy and joy within that does elate
Is not food off anyone else’s plate
So to the song divine we do gyrate
The domain of desire is the ephemeral
Addiction to egoistic indulgences external
Self serving so often at the cost of several
Our soul dies within ahead of our funeral
Seeking is a journey of self discovery
Relying on the divine rather than memory
Abdicating desire and with it all worry
Slow unfolding; no hurry and scurry
Desire is the domain of the gross ego
Clinging and grabbing, unable to forgo
Blocking the love enabling divine flow
Consigning us to a life false and hollow

Denying us our pristine sense of wellness
To bridge the looming divide between us & the divine
Say the magic words, ‘I AM yours and you are mine’
Ego surrendered, there remains no longer any resistance
I AM ever connected, with divine assistance

The fear, any colouration
Reflecting in hesitation
