What aspect of the Natural land fascinates you?

Would it be the way leaves change colour; the spider's web; the mighty Redwoods (giant sequoia's); or how alot of trees seem to reach out to eachother along the avenues or how some are entwined?

The two favourites of mine are fractual geometry in nature and the crop circles (Yeh....I notice they're both got shapes! lol).

Anyone see what common denominator stands out when they pick their favourites?

Fractals and the golden ratio are everywhere. Once one becomes conscious of this, a new appreciation for nature all around is awe-inspiring.

Outside colder temperatures cause me to grow a beard to feel as one in the leafless woods in winter.

Usually I would soak up the feeling of nature & observe the wildlife, oblivious to the colourful tones. Last month I played this video a few times & would gaze into the woods while I listened. Ever since then I seem to be noticing the autmumn leaves, on the trees or blankets on the ground, as if for the first time.

We just had about 6'' of snow in just below freezing temperatures and looking at the trees the snow had attached to every limb small as large and the beauty of white limbs is astounding. The beauty makes me feel spirits are in the snow as well as the woods balanced in nature as a harmony of substance.

What aspect of the natural land fascinates me? Very hard to settle on just one aspect! But I'll try...

One aspect that fascinates me alot is the way moisture settles on, and moves over, and moves through land. And this changes with seasons. Rain or snow precipitate down, little rivulets form up in the mountains, becoming springs, then creeks, then rivers, filling lakes, draining toward the sea. Fog settling over the land, too - and frost. All these things influence how much or how little vegetation - and what kind of vegetation - you'll see at any one area. And the kinds of vegetation influence what sorts of animals you may in any particular spot.
