Question 2 periods in 1 month?

this is odd for me but I had 2 periods in one month. I started july 5th and lasted 3 days. then again I started july 31st and ended today. im sort of freaked out but not sure if its because of my change in diet that toggled this second period. I have been eating organic foods and fruits n vegetables. besides change in diet, I am not sure if pregnancy or stress made this happen lol what is yalls opinion on this????? cause im confused

I wouldn't say it's unusual for these things to happen.. sometimes when the body is going through changes from stress or new diet or whatever it tends to temporarily unbalance our hormones and do weird things. I would say if it happens once off then it's not a problem. If it starts happening every month then you have a problem.. lol.

This happened to me a few times, and I approached a nursing friend and asked her opinion. Apparently it is completely normal, and happens frequently in some women and once or twice in others. Due to a brief surge of progesterone, possibly caused by eating a herb high in this (like sage) or some other reason for the surge. Anyway, nothing to worry about.

If your periods carry on being erratic then you should go get a blood test because you may be in peri-menopause.

Do you typically track your periods? If they are very regular and then become erratic it won't hurt to see a dr. Anyway. Some women always have erratic periods. If you have given birth or are nursing they can start back up very odd. It could be the change in diet for sure. But there are also other possibilities so you should see your dr. Because they will typically have a whole list of causes in their head and can help determine your cause.

Hi espeon,
As always with these matters, a doctor's visit would be wise.
However, judging by the dates mentioned, you seem to be within a regular menstrual cycle...it just so happened to occur at the beginning and end of a longer month. I've had this experience a few times over the years.

Hoping all is well with you.
